One of the more impressive 2022 big men from Indiana over the past several months has been Wesley Celichowski of Floyd Central High School. Over the summer, the 6’11” post earned himself honorable mention honors on the NY2LA Association 17U level while playing with the Louisville Legends.

Celichowski recently earned himself a scholarship offer from Marian University while on a visit to the Indianapolis school. “It was very nice, I enjoyed the time spent with the coaches, touring the campus, and learning about the program,” he said regarding his visit.

The offer from the NAIA school was his first. While he only has the lone offer, he does have interest from a wide range of schools on all levels. Air Force, Appalachian State, Holy Cross, Midway, Morehead State, and Olivet Nazarene are just some of the schools to have expressed interest in the fast-rising big man.

Celichowski was one of the more dominant post players on the NY2LA Association this past season. “It went very well,” he stated about how his time went playing with the Louisville Legends. Adding in, “the exposure and level of talent I played against was very good. I have learned a lot from the high level of coaching for the last five years.”

While in his search for his future college, Celichowski is searching for things on and off the court. “I am looking for somewhere I can continue my education and make a future impact on their basketball program.”

Not only does Celichowski have great height but good strength as well to be a big force in the paint on both ends of the floor. He has been working on his quickness, speed, and agility to work on his goal of improving his overall game. The 6’11” Celichowski is a player scholarship level programs will want to check out this season.
