After a successful career at Muskego High School (WI), Luke Bara has moved on to Elevation Prep in Indiana for a post graduate year. While the 6’2” point guard had some interest as well as offers during his senior year, he decided upon another year before college to increase his exposure as well as developing on the court and in the classroom.

The extra year has already paid dividends for Bara as he has received his first division one offer. The University of New Orleans extended an offer to him just back in August. When talking about the Privateer’s, Bara said “I really like the culture at New Orleans along with the coaching staff and players. They are also in a great location with a beautiful campus.”

While his time at his new school has been limited, it has already made a strong impact on him. “I love it here at Elevation Prep,” Bara said. “There is a special vibe that made it feel like home as soon as I stepped on campus. This is definitely the most talent I’ve ever been around and I’m excited for us to put the country on notice when the season starts.”

As well to his offer from New Orleans, some division two schools that have offered him are Bemidji State, Concordia St. Paul, and Winona State. Some additional schools that have expressed interest in him include Montana State, NJIT, South Dakota State, VMI, among other division one programs.

Bara had an impressive year while playing with the ABC Young Lions program. He is a high IQ and energetic lead guard that has shown both a nice ability to score and distribute the ball. He moves well with the ball in his hands plus has strong handle. He can create well for himself from the perimeter as well as in the mid-range. More than just a scorer, Bara has very good vision on the move in addition to being a smart decision maker.

Before he picks his future college, Bara will be looking to make some campus visits in the near future.
