In the midst of this busy recruitment season with open gyms and plenty of campus visits before the season begins plenty of high schooler’s recruitments have been hectic. One junior that’s recruitment interest has continued to rise has been JaQualon Roberts of Bloomington High School North in Indiana.

Over the past week Roberts has received a pair of offers from in-state high major programs. The offers came from Butler and Indiana. Other offers for the 6’7” forward include Akron, Bradley, Indiana State, IUPUI, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Stetson, and UMass.

Indiana University being his hometown school, the offer from the Hoosiers has carried a bit more weight than the other schools that have offered him so far. “It’s the first university that I laid my eyes on as a kid. I remember going to little camps and events there,” Roberts said about the importance of the Indiana offer.

The Indiana offer for Roberts comes after another visit to the nearby Big Ten school. “I had a great time at Hoosier Hysteria. I felt different being there as an official recruit and being able to hang with the team and coaches before it started and after it ended.”

The increased recruitment stock comes after an impressive year playing with the Indiana Elite program. Roberts has a good combination of size and athleticism, is a quality versatile defender, as well to much developed overall skills. His ability to makes plays off the dribble and perimeter shooting have all continued to increase to solidify himself as a high major recruit.
