One Junior in Indiana that has started to attract plenty of eyes from division one coaches recently is AJ Dancler of Southport High School in Indianapolis. The 6’0” point guard has developed into one of the top junior guards in all of Indiana over the past few months.

Once college coaches were able to see him play in person during the summer with George Hill All Indy, Dancler started to see division one offers for himself. Northern Illinois was the first school to offer him late in July. Not too long after, Kent State became the second school to offer him. Kent State is currently one program standing out to the junior for how much they communicate with him.

As well to his pair of scholarship offers, plenty of mid-major programs have also expressed interest in him. The list includes Ball State, Boise State, Eastern Illinois, Indiana State, and Southern Illinois.

When speaking about his time this summer playing with George Hill All Indy, Dancler said it was good. Expressing the increase to his recruitment while playing with them.

As well to these programs, Dancler recently took a visit to Miami University (OH) back at the start of the month. “Love the atmosphere, the energy, and coaching staff,” he said about his visit to the MAC school.

Dancler is a skilled playmaking point guard that has a good ability to both score and distribute the basketball. With his great handle, moves with the ball, and quickness, he is incredibly difficult to stick with. He has a good ability to not only create his own shot off the dribble but also get to the basket consistently. Even with his great scoring ability, Dancler is an unselfish player that creates well for others with his vision.
