While Azavier Robinson has just started high school and yet to play in a high school game, he already has picked up his first scholarship offer. During a visit on Thursday to nearby IUPUI, Robinson received his first offer from head coach Matt Crenshaw and staff. Robinson is a 6’0” point guard at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis.

“The visit was great, got to see how hard the work is at the next level and the difference between college and high school level practices,” Robinson said about his campus visit to IUPUI. There are already a couple things Robinson likes about IUPUI, “I really like how hard the coaching staff was on the team and I also like how it’s close to home.”

Over the year Robinson impressed during his time playing with George Hill All Indy. Even while he was playing up at the 15U level, he proved he more than belongs and was a standout player at multiple tournaments. Robinson is a dynamic point guard that is incredibly talented with the ball in his hands and can score the ball at a high level but is also a good distributor. He has a great ability to beat defenders off the dribble and to get to the basket with his quickness and great moves with the ball. More than just a scorer however, he is tough perimeter defender with his ability to pressure the ball.

College coaches will want to get a head start on recruiting Robinson and see him in the upcoming season with Lawrence North High School. When talking about the upcoming season, he said “I feel like we’re underrated, we have a lot of young talent and a great senior leader. I think we’re going to be good for this season and the future.”
