One of the most improved players in the region this season has been David Meriwether. The junior is a 6’10” post that attends Indianapolis Metro High School.

He has burst on to the scene this high school season while averaging a staggering 15 points and 17 boards per game. After a slow start to the season for Indianapolis Metro, they have won four of the last six as Meriwether continues to build into a dominant big man.

During this season he has started to attract interest from a few division one programs. Georgia State, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Tulsa are some of the programs to have expressed interest already.

Meriwether has great size and has continued to develop his all-around skills. While he is a true rim protector that contests everything around the paint, he can do much more. Even with his size and strength he still moves well and plays with great energy as well to having good hands. As well to scoring it very effectively around the basket, the junior can also put the ball on the floor, knock down jumpers, and is a skilled passer.

Look for Meriwether to be a very popular prospect while playing with George Hill All Indy in the upcoming spring and summer.
