After spending a post graduate year at Elevation Prep, Luke Bara has made his college commitment. While he has received several offers over the past year, the 6’1” guard chose Davenport University.

Bara chose Davenport over offers from Bemidji State, Concordia St. Paul, New Orleans, Winona State, as well as ones from NAIA and junior college programs. The commitment comes after Bara was offered back in January. Before committing to the division two program, he had recently taken a visit to the Grand Rapids, Michigan school. “It felt like home and a place where I can be successful on the court and in the classroom.”

“Davenport is a winning program. They have a beautiful program and a staff that believes in my abilities on and off the court,” Bara said as to why he picked them over his handful of other suitors.

When asked how he sees himself fitting in, Bara is looking to make an immediate impact with Davenport graduating a couple of players from their current backcourt. “I have a chance to come in and fill that void and earn minutes right away. Every day I am going to come in and work harder than the next guy and do whatever the team needs me to do to win.”

Before attending Elevation Prep, Bara attended Muskego High School (WI) and played with the ABC Young Lions program last year.
