Following a big season playing with George Hill All Indy, it has paid off with a couple of division one offers for Damien King. Back in July the junior picked up his first offer and has now just also received his second one.

After averaging 11.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last season as a sophomore at Anderson High School (IN), the game of King continued to take great strides over the past several months. During the spring and summer, King was one of the top 2025 players on the NY2LA Association. Even while playing up a level, the 6’4” junior guard was a huge piece of the George Hill All Indy team that captured the 17U NY2LA Association championship last month.

In-state IUPUI became the first school to offer King a scholarship. “Great all around,” he said about his visit to the Indianapolis school which took earlier this month. The second scholarship offer for King came from Western Carolina. “Visit was great. The school all around was great including the staff.”

Next up for King is a trip to Chicago to visit UIC this Saturday. Some of the other programs showing interest in King currently include Ball State, Dayton, Georgia State, Green Bay, Illinois State, Kent State, Milwaukee, and Wright State.
