The recruitment of Xavier Booker has continued to heat up now with a blue blood program getting involved with him. On Tuesday, Kansas and head coach Bill Self extended an offer to the 6’11” junior of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.

Other programs to have offered Booker a scholarship this spring include Creighton, Miami, Michigan, and Missouri. Other notable programs to have previously offered him include Butler, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas State, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Purdue, among others.

Michigan State who offered back in September have been one of the most heavily involved programs with Booker this spring. Tom Izzo and other members of the Spartans staff have been present for many of his games with George Hill All Indy at the NY2LA Spring Extravaganza in Indianapolis and Grassroots Showcase in Louisville during the two April live periods.

Kansas is not the only new prominent programs in on Booker’s recruitment. Duke and Kentucky are amongst other programs showing interest in the fast-rising junior. Even while having great size and length, Booker is one of the more skilled big men in his 2023 class. Over the past few months, he has gone from one of the top 2023 players in the Midwest, to one of the top in the entire nation.
