One of the top sophomores in Indiana is fresh off a visit Cincinnati. Jaymen Townsend, a 6’5” wing of Marion High School (IN) and George Hill All Indy, took the visit down to see their game up against Houston earlier this month.

“The visit to Cincinnati was amazing,” Townsend first said about the trip. “They showed a lot of love and it really is just an amazing city with amazing people and fans. I got a chance to see the city, watch the team play, meet some of the coaches, and see some of their facilities.”

While he does not have an offer from Cincinnati and head coach Wes Miller, he does hold a division one offer. Last summer in July, IUPUI offered Townsend a scholarship. Other programs currently showing interest in him include Ball State, Dayton, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan State, and Purdue.

Right now, Townsend is averaging 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. Right now, Marion is sitting at an 8-6 record, but Townsend is looking to improve upon that after some tough losses recently. “My main goal is to do whatever I need to each night to lead my team to win, so whether that be I am a facilitator on night and the scorer the next, I’ll do it.”
