It has been a busy month for Cole Hayworth who is not only finishing up his junior season but has also taken a pair of college visits. The 6’5” wing of Fort Wayne Concordia High School (IN) and Focus Premier visited two in-state NAIA programs so far in February.

First, Hayworth visited Bethel University this month and more recently Goshen College. When asked about the visits, he said “Goshen visit was good. The campus has been updated recently. Bethel was also very good. I like the coaches and they have a lot of experience.” Hayworth also took a visit to another NAIA program in Grace College back in November.

During his junior season in which he is averaging 10.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.5 steals for 15-6 Concordia the number of programs recruiting Hayworth has continued to greatly build. While he does not have an offer yet, Cedarville, Concordia Nebraska, Grace, Hope, Huntington, and Indiana Tech are amongst other schools showing interest.

One more in-state program has also been greatly involved in his recruitment. “Indiana Wesleyan has also been very active, and they have a great facility, good campus, and I also really like all their coaches. They have a lot of wins as well, so their program is getting results.”

Last season as a sophomore, Hayworth was an honorable mention underclass all-state by the IBCA and his game has continued to progress. Hayworth and Concordia will get started in the Indiana state tournament up against Leo High School.
