With hundreds and hundreds of teams and over fifty courts all under one roof at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, there are plenty of great games scheduled for this weekend at the Grassroots Showcase. Here are five games that are must watch.

2024 – George Hill All Indy vs. DeNard Bros. – Saturday 2:00pm – Court 49

There is plenty of talent at multiple positions in this one, but it is the point guard matchup between Azavier Robinson and Dekwon Brown. Both Robinson and Brown were atop the best players at the Spring Extravaganza, each earning first team all-tournament honors. Robinson is one of the top two-way 2025 guards in the region and just picked up and offer from TCU while Brown is one of the fastest rising 2024 prospects in Illinois.

2024 – Team Temple vs. Wisconsin Blizzard – Sunday 10:00am – Court 49

Plenty of talented prospects in this one from both sides. It features the defending NY2LA Association champions from last year at the 2024 level in the Wisconsin Blizzard up against Team Temple who was one of the top team’s last weekend at the Spring Extravaganza. Will Hornseth looks to be back for the Blizzard and aside guards Ty Fernholz, Brady Corso, and Pierce Arenz form an incredibly skilled group. Team Temple has a dynamic duo in unsigned senior Jaxon Olvera plus Stoney Hadnot. There’s plenty of talent for division one and two coaches here.

2025 – The Academy vs. All Ohio Select – Saturday 9:00pm – Court 50

For those who enjoy great guard play, this is a can’t miss matchup. The game will feature two first team all NY2LA Association players from last season in Luke Westerdale up against Brandon Roddy. The talent from the backcourt does not stop there as this matchup also includes Stevie Elam, Amir Perryman, Isaiah Wilson, and others.

2026 – All Ohio Select vs. Phenom University – Saturday 2:00pm – Court 52

Following last weekend there were a couple of matchups I wanted to see, including one at the 2026 level and this was it. The matchup features guard Xavier McKinney for All Ohio who looked to be one of the top players this past weekend at the Spring Extravaganza up against a highly talented Phenom squad that includes Yusef Gray, Thian Riak, Vaughn Karvala, and others. For college coaches looking to get an early start on the 2026 class, this is the game to see.

2024 – Chapman Basketball Gold Elite vs. Houston Superstars – Saturday 11:00am – Court 49

Another game that has several talented prospects and matches up undefeated teams from last weekend’s tournament. The Houston Superstars have Tk Lawson who is one of the better 2024 prospects on the NY2LA Association as well to Charles Anderson, Angel Sonnier, and others. Chapman has a ton of fire power who can score in bunches with Nolan Minessale, Tim Franks, Michael McNabb, and Isaiah Allen.
