After having a strong senior season at Culver Academies (IN) while averaging 12.3 points and 6 rebounds per game, Folabomi Fayemi has taken his game to another level this spring with DeNard Bros. Throughout the spring, the 6’5” wing guard has been one of the most impactful players on the NY2LA Association while playing with one of the top teams.

“I’m an athletic two-way guard and a capable three level scorer,” Fayemi said describing his own game. “I like to play in transition and get to the rim in half court sets but I’m also comfortable spacing the floor. I take pride in my passing ability and my ability to defend all positions. I’ll switch on to anybody. I love defending on the perimeter, but I’ll meet you at the rim.”

Last fall Fayemi received his first offer from division two Davenport University during a visit. He has recently gotten on the radar of a few division one programs. Amongst these are Southern Indiana which he plans on visiting soon. For his future school, the bouncy wing guard has a couple things he is looking for, “A diverse community, one that’s passionate about sports even outside of basketball.”

While he has no timeline on his future college commitment, Fayemi is looking to make his college decision very soon. If his game continues this upwards trend with his skills matching his athleticism, he could end up being a steal out of Indiana’s 2023 class with his tremendous upside.
